About Us

In May 2007, Sherlock Bone was established to provide exciting and unique science-based workshops for learners across the UK. These interactive programmes were designed to explore scientific concepts through the fascinating world of forensic investigation, while developing teamwork, confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Over the years, thousands of learners from a wide range of backgrounds have taken part in Sherlock Bone workshops, discovering their own passion for science and experiencing first-hand how scientific thinking can be used to solve real-world problems.

As the workshops grew, so did the vision. To bring the excitement of science and forensic investigation into homes and classrooms around the world, I created the characters of Sherlock Bone and Scotty Watson.

Through interactive stories, forensic challenges, home experiments, and evidence-based investigations, the Sherlock Bone & Scotty Watson series encourages young readers to become active participants in each mystery. Readers are invited to analyse fingerprint evidence, examine clues, eliminate suspects, and develop their own detective skills as they work alongside Sherlock and Scotty to solve the crimes hidden within the pages.

Combining storytelling, science, history, and culture, the series aims to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

So why not join Sherlock Bone and Scotty Watson on their next adventure and discover where the evidence leads?

Bon Voyage!
